Sending a Mail/Care Package
The Jones County Detention Center Inmates can receive written letters from their friends and family. For safety reasons, all letters are checked by jail staff upon arrival. The jail staff will pass the mail out to the correct inmates after the staff checks the mail.

Sending Money
In order to make purchases from the commissary, the inmates at the Jones County Detention Center will need money. You are allowed to send a cashier’s check or a money order straight to the Jones County Detention Center, if you would like to fund an inmate's account. You will have to make the money payable to the inmate's name.

Phone calls
The Jones County Detention Center inmates are not allowed to receive phone calls from their family or friends. Although, during their phone time, inmates are allowed to make phone calls to their friends and family. The inmates are limited to 15-minute calls. The call will be disconnected when the 15 minutes is up.

Those who only have cell phones won't t be able to take these collect calls. The individual that is receiving the collect call is the one responsible for any and all charges from this call.
