The county jails, as well as the city jails each, have their own inmate roster that you will need to go to their individual websites for more information on how to correctly search through their inmates, which is not like the state of Alaska. An inmate is the property of the Department of Corrections Division when an offender is held in a state prison. Every state’s Department of Corrections Division has its own jail roster/database offered to the general public to use.

An inmate is not in one of the prisons listed above or has been released if the prison can not find them on their database. Only current inmates are shown on the database, which is unlike other jail rosters.
The database of the Alaska Department of Corrections offender roster search is updated frequently. This database is normally updated during the regular hours of operation. The inmate’s information can change very often. Even more so, if the inmate has court proceedings and such going on.
You can contact the prison that the inmate is held in, if you are looking for additional information or if you have any questions. The prison that the inmate is held in will have the most current information.
To dispute any information that you believe the information on an inmate is not correct, you will want to contact the prison in which the inmate is held in.
The inmate's mugshots can be found in the jail roster as well. When an inmate is being booked and processed into a state prison, is when the inmate's mugshots are taken. Unless an inmate is getting transferred into another state prison facility, mugshots are not updated or changed.
Parole is something that the Alaska Department of Corrections database does not have any information on. The parole is not associated with the prison and is assigned to a different agency. You can always call 907-269-4642 if you would like to get in contact with them about any parole hearings that are coming up.
The years prior Parole Board Meetings audio files can be searched through here. However, in order for you to find out when an inmate’s going before the board, the parole board the parole board will need to be contacted. The general public does not have this information available to them on the internet so you will need to contact the board with the correct information, so this information can get pulled up for you.
In the Alaska inmate database search, you are not able to search for sex offenders. The sex offender search has its own database. This database is available to the general public as well just as in the DOC inmate locator.
